Taking time for self care

One of the best gifts you can give yourself is some down time to relax and de-stress. I recently had the opportunity to visit one of my favorite places, Olympus spa. This place is amazing! It's a Korean day spa for women only that offers a number of ways to detoxify. You can go for the day and relax in a number of heated (or cooled) rooms with various themes or you can try the pool area with hot (and cool) tubs for soaking, a sauna and a steam room. You can book a number of additional services from the traditional Korean body scrub (my personal favorite) to moisturizing body wraps, facials, waxing, massage, etc.

When you need a break, you can visit their little restaurant that offers up delicious Korean dishes. I enjoyed the Kimchi Stew (pictured below) which was served with a variety of vegetarian appetizers. They also have a tea room where you can sample a variety of freshly prepared teas.

This is one of my go-to happy places to relax and detoxify!

You don't necessarily need to go to a spa to de-stress (though I would definitely recommend it periodically)! :-) Think about things you can do at home to unwind on a regular basis like doing a facial mask, taking a bath or spending a few minutes meditating away from electronics.
